About the Company

Our client is an international market leader and innovator in connected technologies and advanced electronics. Operating on the cutting edge of sustainable tech, they develop intelligent systems that transform commercial, industrial, and residential spaces globally. They are currently seeking a technically sharp Engineer to join their specialized testing facility in Moorebank on an initial 3-month contract, with flexible full-time or part-time hours to suit the right candidate.

Role Purpose

In this hands-on lab role, you will test, diagnose, and analyze advanced electronic equipment and connected hardware to ensure compliance with strict quality and safety standards. This is an exceptional opportunity to gain exposure to state-of-the-art testing machinery, digital drivers, and smart automated networks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test and diagnose advanced electrical components and smart system hardware using oscilloscopes, power analyzers, and specialized lab equipment.
  • Evaluate products against local safety regulations and radio disturbance standards (such as AS/NZS or equivalent international frameworks).
  • Troubleshoot automated network interfaces and digital driver software (utilizing protocols like DALI, Zigbee, or Bluetooth Low Energy).
  • Assist in managing, calibrating, and maintaining laboratory equipment to ensure complete data integrity.
  • Document test results and compile clear technical findings for engineering teams.

Skills & Experience Required

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or Computer Engineering is mandatory.
  • Recent graduates with a strong theoretical understanding of electronics, circuit diagnostics, or automated networks are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Familiarity with standard lab testing tools (oscilloscopes, power analyzers) or exposure to lighting simulation/testing software (such as DIALux or LabVIEW) is an advantage.
  • Sharp analytical problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and a clear, collaborative communication style.
